In retrospect I wish I didn"t accept the trip to Penn State which meant there had to be an overnight stay. The 8 students were competeing in track events for state finals with 4 coaches. It was a warm late February day as I performed my duties doing my morning route as departure was around 11 am. The atmosphere inside the bus was like Spring break. Windows were down to the as the main attraction was an amplifier cranked really, really loud. The music was influential as the students were acting as if this was their first time away from Mom & Dad and it was time to have lots of fun on the bus! I had to rely on one of the coaches for directions from which he was telling me from his phone as we were traveling. This was my first time going here; and the closer we got to the first destination the traffic increased and here I am in 72 passenger bus with directions being given to me on the fly! The students other immature actions included using the emergency exit on the bus when we arrived at the destination.I wrongfully assumed that I would be paid for every hour behind the wheel. Not so!
Hi Terence! I'm so sorry you weren't paid for every hour behind the wheel, and those students sound absolutely out of control!
