When a coworker tries to take credit for your work?
What do you do when someone tries to take credit for your work at work?
What have you done before in this situation?

I just laugh. The audacity of some people! Anyway, i just let it go. Maybe a month later, he got canned. I didnt wish that on him either. Hardwork, consistenly positive, and attention to detail seem to always get it done for me.

The best thing to do is keep it professional but confront ur coworker nicely and tell ur boss about it.

Let the supervisor knows that I'm the one who did it.

I would let them take the credit to not embarrass them, but I would address the co worker in private about it.

This happens to me all the time, and although I may not be good at it, I have found it is best to do nothing. If you trying to right the wrong, you just come off as petty and the one likely lying. I just wait until they need fixes or changes that only I can do. Then they all figure it out on their own. If you want to get sneaky, you could ask for a discussion on some part of the project, as to if the right choices were made, and what the other options were. Then the person faking it will be again obvious, because they won't have a valid opinion.

You’re dealing with a systemic problem. It’s this way everywhere in all facets. Taking this issue on is not a simple task. Document and report what you do and it’s impact on the strategy. Don’t work in private.

Expose them for the lying fraud that they are. Be professional.

I tried to do that, they gave him all my work. Changed my name in system and added his in. After that they tried to write me up for poor performance. They let me go due to COVID-19, because they couldn’t fire me.

Let them take the credit until he can’t explain his work,, then speak up
I swear this begins when you're in 6th grade and you have a group project and just keep on going into adulthood haha. There's always that ONE person who doesn't pull their weight or takes credit for all of the work that YOU put in. I think the best thing you can do is to approach that person privately as well as your boss when needed. Keep it professional and honest.
