Random Q's regarding companies

To what level of importance is it necessary to study a companys bio/background/history/founding/members? And why is it important? And should you feel offended if you take the time to study them, but they never take the time to study you, or even call you after you have applied many times?

You definitely want to research the company. First to decide if you want to work there. Then once you get an interview, you'll want to go more in depth so you know about the company and are prepared for questions they might ask and then have some of your own.
