Why is landing a desirable job so difficult?

All I want to do is help people be successful with their mental health and/or substance abuse recovery. Why is it so hard as a Certified Peer Specialist to find opportunity? #peersupport #advice #jobsearch

N A at N A

Internet application have made everything much more difficult. You used to be able able to walk into a place with your resume and they'd put it at the top of the pile, actually read it. Now, most places are flooded with applications because nobody has to go out of their way to apply; the just hope for the best.

Trust me, being disabled without doctors giving be the disability tag is hell for trying to get a job since I have no transportation. Jobs are scarce and even more so when you live in the middle of nowhere :/

All we can do is keep applying to places and hope we find something.
