My advice to people interested in working at #DeltaAirLines as a #CustomerServiceSupervisor ...

Remember who the customer is. Excel in empathy. Stay focused on being polite and respectful regardless of how frustrated or angry your customer is. Represent the Delta brand with excellent customer service to retain the customer and turn the negative to a positive. The customer may forget what you say but they will not forget how you make them feel.

Hi Teri Wilhelm what amazing advice!! This certainly applies to Delta and really ANY company! As someone who managed a customer service team for two years, I couldn't agree more with you. It's not about being right, it's about the customer and how they feel.

I had a woman last week buy me a tea because I told her I was having surgery on my tooth in an hour. I asked her if she had anything to calm me like chamomile and she was curious because I must have seemed nervous. It was so kind and I would go back to that store indefinitely because of that one person's act of kindness. It's the little things that truly matter the most! Thanks so much for sharing Teri, this was wonderful to read : )
