MIT Study Shows Uber and Lyft drivers make about $3.37 per hour
According to the study, this is how much they make BEFORE taxes, taking into consideration operating expenses. The study also shows they have a very high turnover rate, with only 4% of drivers staying on after one year.

I netted 17K from driving for both last year. After my accountant was through, he told the IRS I made 2.5K. You do the math.

WOW Chejon, This info is directly related to the challenges Denise is experiencing on her recent conversation LYFT WORKER NEEDS HELP!. Are you a Lyft to Uber driver?
I live and work in one of the major cities in the US, (Boston). I'm not a driver but I use Lyft services frequently and the drivers I speak to have nothing but incredibly positive things to say about the earning potential driving. Boston, NY, Chicago, and other large cities are the exception I'm sure but what about the more rural areas of the country? Are there any incentives or driver strategies potential job/gig seekers can use to make those job opportunities more enticing/successful?
I think ride share services are Awesome! They provide the US workforce with immediate work opportunities work schedule flexibility, and earning potential but how can we make applicable to ALL drivers in ALL areas. I know Lyft has an excellent employer/contractor or driver relationship. Do they offer these type of drivers any additional incentives?
Smh.... Wow!!! Factor in the ware and tear on your vehicle and maintenance. Idk how ppl make money with that Uber and Lyft??? Guess that's why they always trying to get ppl to sign up and drive for them.
