If the customer is not required too wear a mask ,then you must protect your personal heath. Ask your local pharmacy or hospital to tell you the most protective mask you can purchase. Most people will make the effort to protect you,but some will not.Good luck trying to get the store requiring masks, always remember your health is more important than the customer's wants,Ford

Just remember you cannot touch your eye, mouth ,and masks are disposable, so don,t re use.Lots of hand cleaning .We wear gloves. Leave shoes outside, shower as soon as u get home, and (think about it) ,the dirty clothes hamper should be lined with a garbage bag that's changed ofted.

How are your customers not wearing masks. I would not be servicing them. That is not worth your life or your families life.

Just about every state has mask requirements but if your does not most of the private businesses do. Most of the large retailers require it but if you work at a smaller place and your company does not require them the you should make sure you are wearing one and social distancing as much as you can. Unfortunately even here in New York where it is mandatory to wear one many people do not and it is truly impossible to enforce on any level.

Hi Sally, If I were you I would look for another job instead of risking my health with companies that don't take this pandemic seriously.
Dear Sally, The best you can do is protect yourself. Always wear a mask, a thick one at best. Inform the management of the situation and perhaps they can put a sign outside "No mask, no service" Just like a business can refuse service to someone with no shirt or shoes, this mask wearing request its for public safety, yours, mine, but mainly yours.
