To quickly summarize my career started in construction in both custom homes as well as commercial. It then progressed into design, project management, estimating, financial budgeting, financial management and controller to CFO in the landscape design-build arena. After completing my MBA I moved laterally in the agriculture industry to Laurel Valley Farms, Inc. Laurel Valley is the largest single site composter in all of North America. We manufacture compost specifically for the mushroom industry as well as process the by-product of spent mushroom compost into premium topsoil. Over the last 8 years with Laurel Valley I lead the company financially from a net worth of 1.25 million to in excess of 12 million; I love growth. My background and hands on experience has provided me with a full and complete understanding of all aspects of business unlike many controllers who arrive by way of a public accounting route. Good solid accounting is critical however, my focus has been more forward looking.
