Good Morning, Christmas is coming and still no job offers? What can you do in the meantime? Plenty of people in your area are looking for help. Holidays offer a great opportunity to make extra money by asking friends, family members, and others if they need assistance with chores? House Cleaning, Shopping and other task? Take advantage of this time to earn extra money by driving for them? Let them know you are flexible and willing to help them achieve their goals. When I cleaned clients' homes I always let them know I am available for other services as well. I picked people up at airports, stores, and restaurants. Making money while enjoying Myself by helping others and you can too! Are you sitting on the sofa waiting for a call? How to pay your bills? Start by going to websites that post these kinds of offers. Call friends, family members and your next door neighbors let them know you are available.

Havent Worked Long Time Disability at Want Very Very Part Time

Okay, I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here and something that I thought of while I read your post Mr. Carvalho, doing things like running family members to the airport or taking another shopping doesn't seem like money making opportunities to me. To me, during the holiday season, you are giving them a gift of your time and to ask for money seems to me just plain tacky. If money is the problem, explain to family and friends that this year your gift to them is your time. As busy as I am, what a luxury gift that would be! And I know, how time consuming picking people up from an airport is and by you taking a chore like that over (and I'm using the universal you, not as in you, Michael) the time saved would be greatly appreciated by the other party. They would, however, either provide money for gas or even the vehicle, otherwise it isn't cost effective for the person doing the good deed. Anyway those are my feelings as we approach the very day Jesus was born, talking about making money instead of giving of ourselves as a gift. When did money become more important than the people we love and just spending time with them?

Hello Michael Carvalho,

I applaud your strength of character and spirit of endurance. You are absolutely right about seeking and accepting whatever opportunity to earn the needed means by accepting any temporary work available until you can find that right fit. It is so important to stay busy in your job search or just even perhaps make a few extra bucks to supplement your income from time to time. The important thing is to keep busy and not let yourself become stagnant. If you don't quit, your efforts will eventually pay off. Stay the course!

Thank you for this post that will inspire many with opportunities that they may not have previously considered.

The best to you with your professional endeavours Michael. Have a great Holiday Season!

Regards,

Patrick Coppedge

Thanks, friend,

Or learn new skills while you have the time from sites like Lynda.com. They have online courses that you could take to make yourself more valuable to employers. And don't forget to pray hard!

Couldn’t agree more with that advice. Finding people that you know to do small jobs for starts building a small history of experience that you can start talking about in your interviews. It also demonstrates your resourcefulness and hard working attitude
