Overnight Stocker at Walmart

The best part about working at #Walmart was

The best part about working at Walmart was working with Co Manager Roger Crockett. He was a great manager I learned alot from him. When he started working at our store, the whole atmosphere changed. It was more organized and easy to work there. There was a complete change in the way the store was being ran. He was someone who took pride in his job and it showed in his work, it showed in the way he talked to people and the results showed in his employees job performance. The best part about working at Walmart was being exposed to what professionalism really is and what it means to be apart of something that completely changes you and make you better. Walmart #405 truly lost a gem when they let him go. I am forever grateful for having met and worked with Mr. Roger Crockett so I will take what he taught me and use it to excel in everything that I do and wherever I am.

What a wonderful comment on your manager. But why did they let him go. You should try and keep in touch with him.

I think you've really hit on something very important--the quality of one's manager. Unfortunately, experiences such as yours are rare as rubies in the workplace. You were really fortunate. I wish other places would take this to heart. Especially that shithole WHOLE FOODS. The worst management, spilling down into the worst POSSIBLE customer service and crappy food. Why did Walmart let him go? Did he find another, better paying job? Sometimes mega-sized stores don't know what they have until it's gone.

I want to get into Walmart, I keep applying and nothing. Do I have to go to the store? I want to work evenings as a stocker.

What's Mr. Crockett doing now? I would get in touch and maybe you two can end up working together again!
