I've been driving since 1997. This not an easy job nor as high paying as you believe. If you can find local work you will do ok if you can handle stress. Otr is what I do. I love it. I have been away from home as long as 6 months at a time. This is the biggest lie you will hear in trucking. They say they will bring you home every so many days or weeks but there' are hidden catches. Read the fine print! You do make good money but it's expensive out here. That fat paycheck is gonna take several hits before it pays the 1st bill. Read the fine print. If I havent scared you off you can see the country and meet people who will amaze you. Every day is new and different. I look forward to what I will see tomorrow. If you have a spouse and children stay local.
