When in doubt seek some legal advice lisa seaton . If that was the grounds for firing you it would depend on a few factors but yes it sounds illegal to me. If you were unable to complete the job moving forward and it was written in a contract would be a concern. If there were other reasons they are claiming for your termination be wary of those.
