Can You Work In The USA?

I've noticed a good number of newer members who live outside of the United States are asking for help finding jobs here in North America. Jobcase jobs are based in the US but I can offer some guidance for members who are seeking assistance to work here in the States.

There is a two part process required and a lot of work on the part of the job seeker. In all cases, you must have a potential job available here in order to be approved for a legal work visa. Your prospective employer must request a labor certificate on your behalf and submit a petition for you in order for you to apply for a visa. This is the first step

There is a lot of information and there is a different process if you are a student seeking training or work experience in the US.

Follow this link if you have questions about how to get a job in the United States

VISA

There is also a link on that website to help you find the correct visa agency in your country and region and the steps you will need to take. Best wishes for a successful endeavor!

I wish I could post it in dm's to some members who still think we find jobs for them. I have one follower who keeps asking me to find him a job and I just keep encouraging him in comments to follow the links I provide.

Under no circumstances come into the United States on a tourist or student visa and then get a job here. If you are already here on a tourist or student visa, then you may go to an office of the State Department and get a work visa. I am told that it is easier to get a work visa if you are already here than if you try from outside the country, but I have no idea if that is true. If you get a job here while on a tourist or student visa, then you will be in trouble. You can go to jail. But it is more likely that you will be sent home and not allowed to re-enter the USA for some years.
