Angry customers (patients) were a part of my everyday routine while providing exceptional customer service at Express Scripts. I learned to remain calm, be empathetic and allow the customer to explain their reason(s) for being angry. It was important to me to try to change the patients attitude so that hopefully we could move forward in a positive manner.

It sounds like you put a lot of thought into devising a strategy to de-escalate an emotionally charged situation. That's a great skill to carry forward with you!
