Unemployment
Well....unfortunately I’m still unemployed. I’ve tried my hardest to find a job, Lord knows I have. I had a work source representative look over my resume and correct it because I thought my resume was horrible and the reason nobody was contacting me. The worker created my resume over, but it had typos and in my opinion just not up to par. I told her I didn’t have the resources to buy clothing for an interview should someone gave me a chance, and I was left with a feeling that you’re on your own. I’m unsure what will happen next, but for sure God would never allow me to get this far and then abandon me. Please pray for me! I need positive thoughts and a way get thrift clothing for an interview. I’m feeling hopeless and unsure why. I’m feeling discouraged, but again I know God has the final say! #unemployed

For me it is homelessness and death!

@Tameeka Thompson sounds like you're taking the right steps - keep at it! Resume work is a continual process. There are a couple of articles that you might find interesting: @deleted user wrote about the benefits of having more than 1 resume and @Elyssa Duncan explains the importance of including keywords in a resume.
As far as professional clothing goes - you may consider connecting with a Dress for Success Houston partner for a referral. Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi Tameka, stay strong and encouraged in the Lord. Please let me know if I can assist with your wardrobe for work.

Same here, There are a lot of people looking for jobs, we have to be patient, GOD has not forgotten about us, keep your thoughts optimistic and positive Dismiss any negative thoughts.

Yes,God has final say and all others inbetween..!! Tameeka: do you have job interviews this week that you need a work outfit?

Good morning I’m not working either . Please keep the faith and continue to pray, trust God and apply. God has not left us so please don’t give up. I get discouraged at times but it’s the Devil so keep pushing. I am unsure where you are located but check thrift stores for your interview clothing. I’m sending prayers and hugs. Kimberly

We are here for you, to share your feelings. To virtually hug you. Yes you have said it correctly, God will never abandon us. Be assured that He knows what we are going thru.I fine comfort in reading the Bible for answer. Remember also to Never be Doubtful, for all will be Good, because of God's Grace n Love. God Bless you n Love you, so do I In my Prayers🙏💗

Hi, I just wanted to let you know you're not alone. Thank you for sharing. ❤️
Hi @Tameeka Thompson , I still have a copy of your last resume and I'm open to offer you some resume optimization tips if you're still looking for feedback.
Question... are you primarily interested in Bartending jobs or is your main goal to land a Customer Service/Clerical job opportunity?
Why is this important? I did a quick scan of your previous resume in search of in-demand transition skills for both Bartending and Customer Service jobs, (listening, multi-taking and problem solving) and found no hits.
A resume built without the right in-demand keywords will NOT rate high enough to pass the initial automated online job application process. This means your resume and application profile will not reach human hands.
We can help you correct this!
