Stylists FRUSTRATION with the coronavirus
I work as a hair stylist in a fairly busy salon just outside of Knoxville. Alot of clients have been canceling because they're afraid of catching the #coronavirus.
I need to make money!! I can't keep having my clients cancel. Is anyone else in the human services world facing this?? What can I do? #help

So sorry Jill. The gentlemen Jeffery Pasquale is 100% correct. Wish I can help but I can't. As my dear beloved mother said to me many times,"Better days are coming. Keep your faith in God

I work in tbe healthcare industry. We're already halting people at the door, making them answer 5 questions about their health. If they have any symptoms of a cold or anything they can not enter. I found out today we are going to start taking temperatures. Omg. This virus is turning everything upside down.

Knee jerk reaction. Stupid crap like people buying water and toilet paper. Sounds like social engineering to see how people react to certain things.. The media loves this sh..

Hi Jill, can you do house calls?

I see the travel agency having this same issue as my girlfriend is a travel agent. The mass hysteria is infectious enough to this country!

Hi Jill, I could imagine this is super frustrating! When you call to confirm appointments, do you think its worth mentioning something along the lines of "I want to assure you that we're all doing our due diligence to avoid any exposure to illness in the salon by keeping up on our cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day."
Good luck, I hope this whole craze dies down soon!
I also work in the service industry . I assume you like working with the public . They must come first . Just like the schools are putting the students first . I knw this is very frustrating to us that depend on tips and our livelihood from the people we serve . Just be thankful were not being made to work around sick people in order to get paid like the very dedicated healthcare workers . It could always be worse .
