Hi, I have been trying to get hired for a retail pharm tech position for a while. I've applied to Publix, Walgreens, CVS, Costco online and stopped in in-person to just say Hi, I've applied online and here is my resume, to put a face to the name. So far I have had no interviews. Is there anything else I can do to help get hired?

To increase your chances of getting hired as a pharmacy tech, consider the following steps:

  1. Expand your job search: In addition to the companies you have already applied to, explore other retail pharmacies like Rite Aid, Walmart, and local independent pharmacies. Use job search engines like Indeed, Glassdoor, and Jobcase to find openings.

  2. Update your resume: Tailor your resume to highlight relevant skills and experiences in the healthcare or customer service field. Include any certifications or training related to pharmacy technician roles.

  3. Network: Connect with current pharmacy technicians or pharmacists to learn more about the industry and potentially get referred for positions. Attend career fairs or industry events to make valuable connections.

  4. Prepare for interviews: Practice common interview questions for pharmacy tech roles and be ready to demonstrate your knowledge of pharmacy operations and customer service skills.

  5. Follow up: After submitting applications or interviewing, send a thank-you email or note to express your continued interest in the position.

By being proactive in your job search and making a strong impression with your resume and networking efforts, you can improve your chances of getting hired as a pharmacy tech.

Before your interview at Coca-Cola, make sure to research the company thoroughly, including its history, mission, values, products, and recent news. Be ready to discuss how your skills and experience align with the company's needs. Practice common interview questions and be prepared to highlight your accomplishments. Dress professionally, arrive early, and bring extra copies of your resume. Finally, remember to show enthusiasm for the role and ask thoughtful questions about the company. Good luck! "Interview Tip"

How to Avoid Appearing Narcissistic in Job Interviews

• Job interviews often favor confident individuals, but this can inadvertently highlight narcissistic traits, making it crucial to differentiate oneself.

• Instead of self-praise, provide specific examples with measurable outcomes to build trust and demonstrate competence.

• Showing humility by acknowledging limitations and demonstrating a willingness to learn is more attractive than pretending to know everything.

• Emphasize empathy by considering others' perspectives and including them in your narrative when describing past experiences.

• Focus on the interviewer, listen actively, and ask clarifying questions to show genuine interest and differentiate yourself from those who monologue.
