Getting Terminated for being Sick
Hi Kevin I need some advice badly. I was out sick trying to qualify for Long Term Disability because my doctors advice me to. I did everything my company, LTD, and my doctors told me to do. My company told me that if LTD did not approve me I would be terminated. LTD sent me a strange letter which did not approve me. So now I am looking for a new job but I don't know what to say for leaving my job after 12 plus years. This has been a horrible time in my life to say the least. Thank you.

Wrongful Termination
I'm a a 65-year-old former Federal employee who had filed an EEO Complaint against my employer for unfair practices in 2010. My contract with a US Army language school was not renewed, as it had been for the previous sixteen years, because of a visual disability (cataracts), and a serious medical condition (ruptured esophagus) that necessitated my hospitalization for nine days (and a recuperation for three weeks afterwards). The agency, however, did not state that reason. Instead they cited "lack of work" and "reduction of work force" as the reason for termination. As it turned out, I was the only one terminated in my school, despite the fact that I am the one with the longest service (17 years), the highest academic degree (Ph.D.), and the best student evaluation. Isn't this considered discrimination on the bases of physical disability, age, and reprisal?

I was wrongfully terminated because my co-worker lied and said I left before my relief arrived.

Wrongful termination
The same thing happened to me in April, I contacted the eeoc and they said they couldn't help me. But I was awarded my unemployment. I was fired on a lie as well in the state of Texas. Anyone has any suggestions on any lawyers. Please feel free to let me know. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance

My time as a #Machineoperatorandlineleader at #WarrenIndustries helped me
I actually liked my job very much I was a machine operator and line leader checking Quality Parts and making sure everybody was doing their work and I did the paperwork but I tripped over a pallet and hit my head and went into a seizure and the doctor okayed me to go back to work on June 2nd and they fired me that day they said they didn't fire me they said I just couldn't complete the assignment which is a lie because the dr. said I can come back to my same position with no problem and Warren Industries said I was a safety hazard but we all know that was a lie because the dr. said himself I can go back to the same position and there is no harm. With that being said now I'm having a hard time finding a job because of my restrictions no heavy machinery and I'm not getting paid at all from workman's comp or unemployment I haven't seen any money in over a month and they're trying to lie and say that my accident didn't happen at work when I have the paperwork to prove it I've been having a hard time trying to get a lawyer that's actually going to represent me without any money but I finally got one in Milwaukee and now I will be pushing for a lawsuit for wrongful termination. And because I'm disabled now it's not permanent but I have a disability in my hand it's messed up I can't grab barely anything in my right hand and my ribs were messed up pretty bad they're doing okay now. I just can't believe that they would actually treat me a very good employee that's what they stated and I was there for 7 months they would treat me this way it's very hard to understand now I'm having memory loss and going through all these problems. It's honestly getting a little ridiculous I'm getting so frustrated with the situation I have no idea what to do anymore I thank you for your concern if you can please pass this on to somebody that can help me I greatly appreciate it thank you for your time

Fired for false accusation
So today I got fired for being accused of stealing. I worked for the DHL company and we did shipping and receiving for the 3M company. We would carry items in cases of paint, sponges, paper, basically anything 3M related. Well I got talked to last week about a couple people reporting me for stealing. So I was on unpaid suspension for 3 days. When they call me to come in which would be Monday June 19th, they had went over the report. Claiming that they didn't see me on cameras stealing anything, but since it was 2-3 words of mouth against my own, they fired me. Is there anything or anyone I can report the what I feel was unfair? The ones who reported me even had "quoted" me and once they told me what they had claimed I said, I knew it was complete BS. So I guess I just would like some advice and if they went about this the fair way? Like I said they wrote on the report and had verbally told me no cameras had showed me taking anything.

Why were you fired?
Why were you fired? was there something that you did or they just let you go? How long were you employed by that company?

The worst accident to ever happen was me getting fired for no reason

Anxiety over being fired...
I was fired from my previous job a little over a month and a half ago and even though I planned on leaving, I never thought I would be fired. I planned on leaving on good terms, but when my former boss found out that I was leaving, all hell broke loose. We went through a very nasty court case for wrongful termination (which I won by the way) and even though I have now found another job, I still have this crippling fear of being fired.
The fact that I had never been fired before is giving me some of the worse anxiety because I never want it to happen again. It's gotten to a point where I catch myself crying at work for making the tiniest of mistakes because I'm afraid the next words out of my bosses mouth will be "I'm going to have to let you go."
I've talked to my family about it and they've all told me that I'm making myself crazy over nothing at all. I understand that quitting and/or being fired from a job is a part of life, but I'm taking it especially hard. I've made an appointment to see my therapist on how to cope with the anxiety, but I wish I just didn't feel this way at all.

He Say/She Say
I was terminated from my previous job because a guest who lives where I was employed at. She told my supervisor I gave her my kids to my the office, let her file paperwork for other guest files, and let her go onto the clothing room to pick out her clothes whenever she wanted and said I was taking her medications. The young lady knew all that was grounds of termination, when I was pulled into the office about all of this I told them to bring the young lady into the office to have a meeting with all of us, and they wouldn't do it. So a few days later they called and said I was terminated, when I asked what was the reasoning for being terminated they wouldn't tell me and told me to turn on my keys and handbook. I feel like I was wrongly terminated because they choose to believe her and could care less of what the truth was. Is that grounds for a law suit?????
