The most challenging experience I've had at my current position
When I started with The City of Defiance, the previous employee had passed away. I didn't have anyone to train me. I had to learn and make this job my own right from the beginning. I started out being responsible for 3 departments and now I'm responsible for 5 departments. I am a self starter and enjoy the challenge. I am able to work either independently or with a team.

"Subtile Indications"
Most of us are adapting and adjusting to this ever changing world around us. It's unfortunate that globally there seems to be a shortage of humanitarians. It's almost like they don't care if you work, are a "Good" or "Hard" working person or not. In fact, seems slackers are welcomed. Why is that we ask?We also have to follow this trending topic. This has been happening to minorities for ages. Now it doesn't matter with the "Middle Class "being completely wiped out. The age of AI is upon us, perhaps these businesses are just thinking ahead. Maybe the passions on display at these companies question their work ethics, maybe they're intimidated by confidence or just lack appreciation for their "Good"workers.Whatever the case, there will be more and more stories like ours I'm sure. I've also been through similar experiences, but it became my motivation that led me to this platform with you all. My name is Mekia, nice to meet you! Don't be down on yourselves for being who you are,It's their loss for not supporting /recognizing your greatness !

Advice
Lisa most companies have a 3 month probationary period before they make a decision to keep or let go new employees. Ask your supervisor's opinion of your performance and ask if there any way to improve. a good supervisor will know and give instructions to improve. some will even help you get better.

Food for Thought!!
Success doesn't always come from being the smartest, most well dressed or most wealthy. The blueprint to success has several key factors, in my opinion anyway. Consistency, hard work and motivation. Your daily routine, the choices you make, your work ethic and ambition are critical parts of success. Do you go to work and GO HARD? Or do you just do your job? What are you doing to get noticed. When there is a problem are you someone that can be counted on to produce results? Do you come in early and often, (If possible?) Do you get the job done. No excuses. No apologies. I mean GET IT DONE!!! You want that promotion. Get noticed. Rub shoulders with the executives (if possible) Volunteer for projects that are within your scope of knowledge. You never know who is rooting for you!! You'll never know who wants you to win if you don't demonstrate that you are a winner. IJS

Efficiency and Quality
Some people always work hard, work fast or work as much as they can. What people don’t understand is that in every field, you have to work as efficient as you can so you can work smart. And as efficient that you can be, you have to always remember the quality of service you put in.
