I live in a very rural area, I mean very rural area. I have a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology but yet, I have not had an interview in years. I’m working part time for a company as a mental health therapist it’s proven to be a waste of my time and I’m not making hard any money. I can’t afford to move as my husband has a job with great benefits. But we are not doing well financially. I would be happy with a 28 hour a week job with no medical insurance. I just need a job.,any suggest..?

I was convicted of assault on a family member back in 2016 and have lost out on numerous jobs i excelled in because im longer eligible for rehire because of a violent offense. Head of HR in numerous companies told me they will hire felons with drug convictions before they hire me with a misdemeanor assault. I live in VA. Anyone knows of any jobs willing to hire me based on qualifications rather than record? Ihave over 20 years customer service and retail experience. Im even willing to work fast food but keep getting denied because they say im overqualified. Straight nonsense.

That never happened!

I have been a copier tech. For a year and a half with my company, and they paid for extensive training for Ricoh and Sharp with certs. But I have family issues with my ex wife and child in one state where I work. But I have no family or help with my daughter here, and I want to move back to VA. I don't know what to do because I don't want to throw away such a great career. I also have an associate degree in computer science. Which is what I dreamed of doing since I was a child. Having Eve makes things much more difficult for me to make any decisions.

I work for this company now its been 12 years the staff and the work load has become a lot now with me having a life outside work, the pay is deceit and the benefits are good but I am ready to start off with a new career. Are there any business owners on here from the 434 or 804 that got any advice or willing to get my foot in the door.

I wanted the baby boomers (50+ Club) to know that we are still sought after...My Letters of recommendations from my past employers got me this Job!! and if your a true salesperson I was told that in the next three months This Richmond branch is going to ramp up sales positions and may be needing qualified Sales reps...she mentioned room for 20+ more may be brought on this year!. I worked at an apartment complex and the company was in some trouble financially. So, I live in Richmond, Virginia and the day we went home, which was a Thursday, we received a text and an email which stated, I sent an email as well but I wanted to make sure you would receive this. Please be advised that today, June 14th, 2018 we received a court order that immediately remanded ownership of said property to the control of a court appointed receiver. So, in short, we were given just this as notice and it took them about a month to pay our last 32 hours and any vacation pay that was owed. I feel as if we were mistreated and disrespected as far as workers that have been there. Management still owes me $260 which was suppose to be credited to my account. So, is there anything legal I can or should do? There was no severance for us, just regular pay and vacation pay. Is that all we were suppose to get?
