My advice to people interested in working at #UnionPacificRailroad as a #welderforeman ...
Be on time. Be alert. Be prepared to work for the money that you are paid. Be honest and willing. If you don't work out they will find a way to let you go.

What I loved working at #UnionPacificrailroad
I LIKED THE CREW MEMBERS GREAT TO WORK WITH BUT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COMPANY (MANAGEMENT) THAT'S ANOTHER STORY. I RETIRED WITH OVER 33 YEARS AND NOT EVEN A SINGLE THANK YOU OTHERS THAT RETIRED BEFORE AND AFTER I DID ALL GOT RETIREMENT WATCHES BUT NOT ME .I GUESS THAT'S WHAT I GET FOR MY TIME AWAY FROM FAMILY FOR OVER THE YEARS .ONLY ONE CHRISTMAS OFF IN 30 PLUS YEARS .THEY TELL IT'S BECAUSE OF BUDGET CUTS. WELL IF THEY TO CUT BUDGET IT SHOULD BE IN MANAGEMENT BONUSES NOT THE ONES THAT SACRIFICE TIME AWAY FROM home THE COMPANY spent thousands ON a study about the morrell of workers and were told THEY had problems and the union Pacific DID noting TO improve the problem ONLY to give MANAGEMENT millions in BONUSES.only to treat there employees like shit

#UnionPacificrailroad : Highly Recommended
Yes it is a great company but I have to say in the maintenance of way department it is hard work and dangerous
