Interview for NO job

I went a few days ago to interview at the post office. I was very excited at the opportunity since I've been out of work for quite a while now. When I got there there were Many people waiting to be interviewed also. We all went in and sat down in the group, and then we're all informed we were being interviewed yet there was no position available. I drove 2 1/2 hours to interview for a job that did not exist. That's the a pitta me of frustration right there

He pulls me over and then THIS happened!

I was doing a long haul a couple days ago and had my dog Purdy with me. I love my little girl!! Not even 10 miles out DOT pulls me over. They tell me she can’t have her head out the window and that he is going to write me a ticket!!! I start to freak out, but as he is about to write the ticket Purdy starts to cry and puts her paw up in the air and kind of waves at him like she is saying hi over and over. He asks me if I taught her that. I said I didn’t. He smiles and tells me I can go with a warning. Unbelievable!

Did you notice this?

It's easy to forget that truckers deliver a majority of the goods we enjoy in our homes every single day.

Things such as fresh fruits and vegetables, your favorite beverages, paper towels, clothing, etc. It all gets delivered from a truck.

So make sure to stop and thank a trucker when you see one!

AND if you are already a trucker, give yourself a pat on the back. Your job truly makes a difference.

Interested in becoming a truck driver? Let us know! We will be glad to help : )

Frying pan to fire

Hello - been job seeking for something closer to home but live in a small community and afraid I am going to go from frying pan to fire. Love what I do and actaully told I good at what I do from everyone I assist but the company. Comapny managers and many of the staff actually belittle people to bust themselves up. It's sad and discouraging. I don't want just any position just to get out the door from such a terrible company. What happened to all the great companies that actually cared for employees and morale?

5 things I seen other truckers doing WRONG

I drive safe and when I see people on the road doing these things it just pisses me off. Let's ALL be safe out there and use our heads.

1- Driving under bridges that are too low Just because you THINK you can make it doesn’t mean you can! Read the clearance signs people! I have seen guys take out the tops of their trucks before. What a mess.

2- Skipping your walk around Don’t get lazy! Check your damn tire pressure and your lines. PERIOD.

3- Not strapping down the load right Yup this happens a lot. Before you take off make doubly sure that things are nice and tight so you don’t lose the damn load or kill somebody.

4- Not checking cargo Plain and simple KNOW what you are hauling. So unless the government says don't look, you LOOK. Don’t get caught hauling things you shouldn’t be, end of story.

5- Not using your mirrors Why....why do drivers do this?!! If you back up use the damn mirrors. I mean WHY wouldn’t you?! Just looking aint going to get it done am I right?

Anyone agree with me here on these or see em happen?

BUSY weekend!

I had a busy weekend! There was a HUGE wedding in town and I guess there was quite literally NO place to park your car at the place they had the wedding so the guests had to get rides to and from the hotel to the wedding. I have driven for Lyft for a while and never seen such a busy time. Luckily all the guests were pretty awesome.

I had no job

When my girl told me she was pregnant I had just lost my job. I needed something fast so I started driving for Lyft and it's been good. It's so easy and the money is there. I work 9-7 and stop for breaks. I don't work the later times because I don't like the drama that comes with it, but the days I do pretty well.
