SCAM ALERT - Again
I was contacted by a company seeking to employ me as a "Secret Shopper" for banks and other financial institutions. They sent me a $2,785 Cashiers Check in the mail - asking me to cash the check... keep my $285 fee - but go to the bank, and deposit the remaining cash into a checking account at Wells Fargo. I deposited the Cashiers Check, did not cash it. They texted me the account number to deposit the cash into, and provided me the account holders name. I contacted them via text - telling them I had followed everything exactly as they had asked. I knew something was up... so I never deposited any money, instead I contacted my bank, found out the Cashiers Check was a fake - and then went to Wells Fargo - explained the scam to them... and they contacted the Account holder to see if they were in on the scam... when they realized they were in on the scam, they froze their account - no access to any funds at all!!! Be careful out there. Wells Fargo Manager told me they got another scam - similar - but the girl ended up losing $10,000 in this one. So be extra careful!

Krane Construction Scam
I received a job offer for office assistant for a construction company named keane construction out of NJ.. They just said after looking at my "application" they want me to join their team at $20 PER HOUR AND $50 bonus. They were also setting me up with a home office. New laptop.....they told me to go visit their website. Couldn't reach anyone with theach numbers they provided. This was a Jona Hardy Human Resources. They were persistent in me confirming information until I sent email telling them I was not interested in their scam....no response as of yet. They wanted to send me a check so I could cash it, take out my $120 plus %50 bonus plus take out additional $100 for gas and I was to send remainder to "vendor" who was gonna set me up with complete home office......

SCAM ALERT Got a job offer to work at home from Walgreens Boots Alliance. The company is legit but the scammers are just using that to suck you in. The crux of the scam is this: they told me they would send me a check to cover the costs of a new Mac-Book pro laptop and for the office equipment I would need to operate out of my home (printer, fax machine, etc.) Had I accepted, their check would bounce once I attempted to cash it and I would be on the hook for the check amount. I told them it sounded like a scam. They said no, we can assure you it isn't. When I told them I was out because I didn't want a check that would likely bounce, they sent this reply, "Bastard! God punish you." Can you believe that? You can't make this stuff up.

What a SCAM email looks like I just recived this offer via email

Just a heads up warning
Over the last 2 days I have had 3 job offers by 2 different companies offering jobs working from home. They use legitimate company's to do this scam and here is a little of how it works.
They send you an email of a job offer to work from home using a real company's name that does do some positions remotely and they say the positions pay anywhere from $15 to $28 an hour.
Then when you reply they want to set up an interview but the interview is only through google chat. (I went through the process to see what it was all about) They will not Skype with you or any other type of tele-conferencing so you can see them in person its all through google chat.
The interview questions are great questions that a real company would ask you and would all seem real if it wasn't for the google chat thing and takes a long time.
At the end and after waiting close to an hour in chat they come back and tell you that after review of your interview answers you have the position. Now keep in mind not one time did they ask for any personal info like social or anything (thank god). You start tomorrow and they tell you a time to be on for training and that your office equipment will be there by the end of the week so that you can preform you job duties.
You go online the next day to start your training and your first task is to type an essay on Office Equipment and its importance in Accounting and general clerical duties. Now this is as far as I took the process. The rest of it works from what I have heard that they send you a check for more than what you are to be paid and want you to cash the check and western union them back the remainder but not sure how true that part is.
So I know everyone is desperate for a job so please beware.

Beware...fellow job seekers
I have been applying for a little of this & that. By that I mean PT F/T & etc. I received a response from a Awid Estate. They wanted to send me a check for $2,702. Their instructions were to cash the check, keep $135 for myself. & Western Union the rest to France & pay the fees for Western Union out of the check. The code name for this transaction was KIMYMBE. I responded saying if it doesn't sound right or feel right, it's not & I want nothing to do with this at all. We are all looking for honest work here. Be very careful out there. Incidentally, this was a work at home site. Wow. If you don't use your common sense with some of these sites you really can get overwhelmed with the crap.

Beware of Scammers
I received an email from someone identifying themselves as a recruiter who saw my resume on a specific job site. He asked my availability for a brief interview via Google Hangout (suspicious incident #1).
His email also identified a specific company. As any job seeker would, I googled the company - they're in Australia and are a perfectly legit company - but they have no global offices and no offices in the US.
Still not totally believing this, I agreed to the "interview". So I get a message from someone identifying himself as an HR Director. He sends me the "job brief" (description) and after I read it, I tell him I have some questions.
#1 - Why are they asking me to pay for a laptop and other office equipment to do this work-from-home job when I obviously already have a computer. #2 - Why isn't the job he's "interviewing" me for listed on their company website - in fact, why aren't any similar sounding jobs listed on there. #3 - What is his relation to Mr. _____ (I named the VP of HR listed on the company website).
The "interviewer" suddenly disappeared.
Lesson here - even though I didn't fall for it, I was wary of this being a scam. If an employer asks you for $$ to purchase equipment and/or asks for your banking info or any other personally identifying info - run don't walk away from them. Basically, if it sounds "too good to be true," it probably is.

Re-Shipping Scam
Good morning all, Here is another example of a "job" scam. This one is VERY dangerous because it involves you receiving packages to your home and then re-shipping them. The packages you receive contain either stolen merchandise or merchandise purchased with stolen credit cards. If you ever receive a message like the one below....RUN:
