Parents/Job question
I'm 16 and trying to get a job that's not babysitting. My mother knows of what I'm trying to do, but she says I can't get a job without an ID. But she hasn't taken me to the DMV to get that done, but I found out the reason why she hasn't helped me get any of this done... If I get a job she cant put me on her taxes.. Is that true or false?

This January
Right now everybody file Tax from 01/2017 till 03/2017.Ok Now think about it will you hire someone right in the mild of filing your taxes?yes or no? And you have to add to your payroll start off a new year?

Commission Pay Differential
Does the government tax commission pay higher than regular straight pay? I got my first paycheck with commission today and it seems way off.

Unemployment
I got a question. My son worked for one company but received his paychecks from another company. When the project was completed he filed for unemployment. The unemployment company said that there is no record of that company paying taxes for him.
He called the company asking them if they were an employment leasing company for the painting company he worked for. The company said they were not afgiliated with the painting company in no way and have never heard of him or the company. He has pay stubs and copies of checks as proof that the company paid him and withheld taxes from him.
To me it sounds like there may be fraud. Should he report thus to the IRS or should he contact someone at the uneployment office?

I-9 dilemma
I was just hired to a resource company in another state and started the job. Prior to that, I completed and submitted all the paper work, completed a full background check, including finger-printing, scanned and submitted every one of my W-2's for the past 6 years, SS# card, Drivers License, etc. and immediately complied with everything they asked for weeks ago, and now they are telling me that in order to complete my I-9 and get paid, I have to take those documents to a 3rd-party who is not affiliated with the employer, (i.e.) a bank employee/ post office employee/ library employee/ notary etc. and have them verify them. I feel like they are requiring me to violate and jeopardize my own personal privacy and security by presenting my personal and confidential documents (drivers license, SS# Card, Passport, Birth Certificate) to someone other than an authorized Human Resources employee of that company. In Section 2. Employer or Authorized Representative Review and Verification on the I-9 form it states (Employers or their authorized representative must complete and sign....), no where does it say a PO employee or librarian should verify these docs...I didn't know that a librarian is an authorized rep, and am I wrong in saying that a PO employee is a Government employee. I have worked for out-of-state agencies before and never had this required of me before. I even E-Verified them, but they are requiring me to take this extra step. I should not have to involve anyone else in my employment business. This is a very personal matter and is upsetting to me. I put this to the Jobcase community. What are your thoughts on this? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Please advise.

Homework
Is a work from home customer service representative position considered an independent contractor or permanent employee? Working from home would be an ideal job for me right now but I want avoid filing year end taxes as an independent contractor.

You work for a company that creates and pays tax on everything they buy and sell and yet your income is taxed. How is trading something that doest physically exist taxable? More of a rhetorical question since non of us has eternity to bicker points.
