Think real hard about working at St John. It was great when nuns ran the place. Now it's just a corporation where money matters the most... their money. Not a fun place to work at all. Administration is always up your ass constantly.

I wanted to add one more thing to my previous post, several things actually. STL county collector of revenue has a problem keeping employees. Many have quit as they disliked the atmosphere, stress, low pay, increased workload, on the already overworked, underpaid, existing employees. If you file a grievance you are on your own. They offer you the chance to try to address issues with supervisors, while grievance is happening, you can't be fired, but after, or if you withdraw, they do fire you. I want to say too, this is not sour grapes for having been terminated by them. If fired by them they do black ball you to other companies making it nearly impossible to find another job.

If I knew then what I know now about working there, I would not have done it. Co workers were great, but it is very high stress, high rate of turnover, lousy pay, no over time, did not take enough time to cover ever changing procedures, causing constant confusion for employees. If you don't like to be monitored, don't work there. Some of their systems are antiquated, slowing down process, creating angry customers. Employees are told to sign paperwork after meeting with supervisors, which I do not advise. I did. sign, came back to bite me. No good deed is left unpunished.
