Being a past reperesenative of Verizon Business being involved with VOIP billing, I was wondring if there was a way of becoming part of VZ's next generation plans. I have extensive expereince wth cloud computing, developed my own Mobile APP using REST, have an immense of high throughput systems, understand DevOps trials, Infrastructure, have mentored developers, lead teams, etc..become part of the management teams making decisions that would help move VZ into the future?

I've been working in the marketing field for the past three years. Though it's been an interesting ride, but now I think I need a change. Lately, at my job we have monthly meetings where coworker explain projects they currently working on. The engineering department seems interesting and intriguing. I know a little bit about coding since in my high school days. I wonder if there are short term programs for people you want to advance their career?
I am looking for an entry level software engineer job in the central New York area.
Does anybody know anything?
