Every sense in your body is on high alert. Everything was new. I felt like a child trying to figure this new world out. It is a process and takes one day at a time and being patient with yourself. You have to allow others to help you.

Drama at #Epoch

I have been gone from Epoch since last September. And, being that it was a behavioral health outpatient facility, we often got people that were angry, very angry at times. But, since my specialty is behavioral health counseling, I was usually able to get them settled down before it got out of hand; if not, we could always call in the troops (police) to assist.

Substitute Teacher

Hello everyone, My name is Angela. I have read many of your responses and keep you all in my prayers that you find decent employment with benefits. We all know there are a lot of "unfairness" in the world of work. Please do not sell yourself short. I graduated from UT Tyler on May 6, 2017. I received my Masters's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health & Counseling. I will be testing on June 2, 2017 for my National Exam (NCE) for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am looking for an LPC-I position in the Dallas area or somewhere close to Tyler. I would appreciate if someone would give me guidance or let me know what you know out there in the community. Thank you so much for reading my post. I am currently licensed as an LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor), also. God Bless.

Very overwhelming!! I myself have gone thru years of both physical and mental abuse at the hands of someone who supposedly loved me! Too be able to talk and help other victims like myself and too reassure them it is OK was very rewarding!!!!
