Late 50s looking for job

It's hard to find a job at 56yrs old, and a felon. I'm trying to get into fast-food restaurants. Went to wendys after doing the application online, went4 times, they never got back to me. Said they would. I have many years of experience in restaurants from cook to waitressesing. So I'm tired of this online application bull , it doesn't always go threw with out asking me to continue my education . Thanks for reading my story.

Left with a job on medical leave and told to come back....came back as told and left back out with no shifts available and no hours available even if I waited in the fall for anyone to change availability (fyi-I am waitress)

I left on a medical leave that was well planned out, well communicated, and very spooked about between all management team and myself. I have surgery on my kidney and come back as planned and they say oh sorry we had to hire some folks. There aren't any shifts or hours right now. I said ok no problem I can wait till the fall if it helps...no there won't be hours then either....hmmmm just tell me as an adult that your not taking me back!!! I'm 33 years old! Anyone have this happen? Now I'm in search of another job and I feel like there is a black cloud over me and not one single place wants to hire me. What am I doing wrong? Should I not tell them what happened?

The biggest mistake I made as a #Server/Trainer/Sommelier at #WaltDisneyWorld ...

I started in King Stephan’s Banquet Hall upstairs in the castle. Average table was 2 adults, 2 children. 2 little girls bought the experience hook, line and sinker! I did Disney crouch so I wasn’t towering over, but eye level with the girls(5 & 9). This was 1993. New hire. Just finished Traditions and training. The oldest girl said,” You’re so lucky Cinderella is your boss and you live and work in the castle! But Mommy says there’s things we don’t like about people we love.” I asked if she was digging for dirt on Cinderella. She nodded. I said’Cinderella is like Mary Poppins- practically perfect in every way!” She never let up. So finally while crouching down between the 2 girls I said,” I watch Oprah. And she had a makeover show recently. She said it’s not natural or beautiful for a woman to wear powder blue eyeshadow. And Cinderella wears powder blue eyeshadow every day to match her powder blue dress!” I looked up, and there was the Mom- wearing powder blue eyeshadow!!! I turned 16 shades of red!!!!

Mad as hell

I started a new job and I put my other job off called out and everything only to be fired by the new job for making a mistake on my 2cd day of training. On top of that they let me go through a text message. The mistake was helping another server close a table and the wrong table got closed out and she tried to make me pay the balance I dont think so.

Discouraged

After yet again getting another job offer only to have it disappear when they did a background check on a mistake that happened 12 years ago is discouraging. I'm not that person that I was 12 years ago. I'm college educated, have manager/marketing experience, excellent people skills but when it gets to the background check all that goes out of the window. All I get offered to me is server jobs which after 7 plus years of serving I'm burned out on it. How do I persuade someone to give me a chance? I'm not a dangerous person it was an old drug possession charge for a such a small amount that keeps messing up my life. I need some advice.
