Giving the wrong price. Everything was done by written receipts, and sometimes due to the volume, I have put down the wrong price. Most customers understood and this was no problem when the wrong was righted. Others, even though they knew it was wrong, always wanted the lower price.

Watch your back with the senior "owner". He is always right, and you can never convince him to embrace new ideas, and new approaches to PR and advertising. He still believes in newspaper advertising and local radio spots will bring in new customers, even though they are completely missing an opportunity to tailor to a demographic group that had been ignored for over 10+ years. They are on their way out because they had 3 "private" meetings with potential buyers during my time there.
