Interior Design Consultant

I love what I do....who gets to fluff pillows, make suggestions in colors, fabrics and styles that make people happy??? Not many. However, it has not been a money maker and as I am approaching near retirement, I have to make some hard career decisions.

Career to Retire

How bad do you want it? Because I'm getting it... I, myself can't wait to retire and enjoy what I worked so hard to earn.

I kept a positive attitude at #UnitedstatesAirForcereserves by

I spent 8 years active duty in US Air Force when a maintenance unit ask me to become a civilian/reserve training manager It was the beginning of a new career for me. I stayed positive because I had the chance to meet and help new recruits or individuals coming off active duty I retired after 22years of service I would do it all again

Retirement Job for Engineers

I worked 25+ years in the aerospace industry. Now that am retired, am looking for a part time job to stay busy, but after working as a Cyber Engineer, should I modify my resume to work in other fields such as retail, hotel, etc.? Most jobs ask for experiences which I don't have. Very frustrating.

Abuse By The Boss

I am a retiree, and so happy I thought that I could finally cut my hours back (I have no pension it's Social Security and me) anticipate my benefit coming in, begin a new chapter... but - my boss has informed me retiring is my problem, there is no provision in the handbook concerning retirees so I'm expected to work more hours if that's what she demands, that it's not her job to take care of me but my job to service them. I remained calm, I have to work and at 63 employers are not jumping to hire me. It's my problem if I don't have the energy of a 21-year old because in the handbook it says... I found out today I am not of value. interestingly enough I began cutting back my hours in December so I could begin benefits in January. When we did that it was all smiles, jokes about retiring, each time I clocked out it was well wishes and enjoy up until yesterday. I am at a loss.

Mr. Alan Bishop

I was forced into retirement due to One Call Care Medical in Parsippany, NJ where I was employed successfully for 9 plus years vacating the Medical Records processing department off shore to El Salvador. This activity included over 20 employees. I need a job and will require it very shortly. Thank You.
