I did 25 yrs of Engineering never fired & 36 yrs in the military and never got fired, loved all my work, and now I enjoy my time traveling, entertaining,gardning, and taking on-line course work.

Wondering in California
I will be unemployed at the end of May. What I am wondering, is if one is allowed to draw both Unemployment and Social Security at the same time. I am 62, thus eligible so SS, but intend to continue working part time to make up the difference between my current wages and my future allotment. I tried looking it up on the .gov page but couldn't find it as a topic or a FAQ. dose anybody know?

retired but still needing work cause social security doesn't pay the bills.
I will be 65 this year. Have been retired since end of 2015. This Social Security check just does not pay the bills, so I am constantly struggling. I have been volunteering at the local food bank 2 days a week, to get me out of the house. Got a job at the local hospital across the street! It is part time and I am just so excited. I can now help people and get paid. I will still do my volunteer work, cause they are like family.
