Interview Mock Training that I disagree with

I come from the days where honesty is the best policy . If you left a job and were asked why you left by a prospective new employer you simply shared the truth whether the work place lacked resolving management issues that may have failed to complete a duty that would have made a company run more smoothly , or something illegal a person may have witnessed that lead to them turning in a resignation , in my past that was how we communicated. But today .... coaches teach us to shhh never ever tell the truth always pretend you were ever so happy working at this low pay unprofessional facility and to say NOTHING about the negatives . I ask myself why ?

Clearly if you don't last 6 weeks and the environment is unprofessional any employer should not think oh the same will be had with us if I hire this person. Not so ! A person who came to you values their knowledge and the employer should share how management approaches situations and set a persons mind at ease telling them to bring any suggestions to them if they see something that needs improvement. Employees are not modern day slaves taught to keep their mouths shut and work for a paycheck. I interviewed over the phone with a medical group who wanted to know what an employer might say to her should she call them. I told her they wont give that kind of a reference they will only verify dates of employment that I have a list of training from them documented successful completion of each area trained as completed and succeeded.

If anyone was out of work for a length of time it should be ok to say I got injured and was out of the loop in recovery and chose a new area now in the same profession because of restrictions . All of these why questions should always be answered honestly . Employers know if they want to hire you within 10 minutes into an in person interview and know if they want to meet you within 5 minutes of phone interview questions. I really dislike having to create some sort of "persona" for an employer where I cannot be myself .

Puzzled and Dismayed

I'm working for a company that constantly points out any flaws and is trying to push me away from my job. I'm stuck between deciding on if I should resign from the position and put in my two weeks notice before they decide that they want to fire me from the job altogether. I am hurt because I have put so much of my time and energy in to being the best kind of employee for the company and knowing that they have other motives. Please give me some advice on how to deal with this situation so I can move forward from this nightmare.

Today the old man said something agian behind my back when I left the kitchen after a conversation. I couldnt hear what he said, but It was sexual. What are your thoughts I like to know? Ready to move on..

I recently just quit my job of almost two years and got hired somewhere else. I left my job because our main management had quit and everything was spiriling out of control. However I have been at this new job for less than a month and I already hate it. I want to apply to other places but I don’t want people to think I’m job hopping. How would I go about telling a interviewer my current situation without sounding like a job hopper?

Roger, Former teacher lost

I'm a former teacher of 18 years. I resigned under duress. Now, I'm lost and need a second career. The job boards are an endless rabbit hole. Don't think I'm going back to teaching. I have skills, talents, and I am personable. Considering seeing a job coach to get a sense of direction. Any suggestions?

I am done!

I got a job doing something i cannot stand, out of pure desperation... Now i want to up and quit. My last job was a storage facility, so office work, and some outdoor stuff. I worked alone 99.8 percent of the time and loved it! Now, im dealing with coworkers and cannot stand being micromanaged! I used to be able to do whatever i wanted because i was the boss... I cannot take this anymore at all, and no storage places where i live are hiring and it is killing me. I cannot do another day of this low pay low grade job..

Relocation job help

As a family we have decided to relocate into the Austin, TX area and had to resign. In doing so I am now looking for a job and since I don’t know the market in Austin, TX. Can someone assist in providing some guidance on the job market or provide any headhunters names I might be able to reach out too?
