Remote and Travel Jobs

ABC Financial is a software development and billing company based out of Sherwood, Arkansas. They provide software and billing solutions for the health club industry.

The company currently has several career opportunities that extend outside of their corporate location.

I worked for this company for several years in several positions (Member Services, Club Services, Help Desk, Implementations, and Contract Management). They are a great employer who provides competitive pay, paid time off, holidays off, weekends off for member services, full-time hours, overtime options, and a full line of benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k, and more.

REMOTE CUSTOMER SERVICE The company is currently hiring for remote member services agents but currently only in the following states:

Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas or Virginia

You must have your own computer and stable high-speed internet connection to do this job. The system requirements are listed in the job description here:

https://abcfinancial.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/ABCFinancialServices/job/Remote-United-States/Remote-Customer-Service-Representative_REQ-00109

ONSITE IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST In addition to the remote customer service agent, they also have positions available for Onsite Implementation Specialists. There is no geographic location limitation for this job; though you should be close to an airport for it to be worth your time.

This is a travel-heavy job. If you want to travel for work and meet customers from all over while setting them up on ABC FInancial's proprietary software. You will be away from home for long periods of time, often booking travel to one city directly from the current city you are working in. You will earn a boatload of frequent flyer miles and hotel status points, but you may forget what your home looks like.

If you have children or pets, this is not the job for you. If you are single, love traveling and making new friends wherever you go, this is the job for you. Details here:

https://abcfinancial.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/ABCFinancialServices/job/Remote-United-States/Onsite-Implementation_REQ-00111

It's been almost nine years since I left ABC Financial, so things may have changed a lot. If you have questions, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them.

Best of luck!

Fired Right Before Christmas - "Contract Job"

I knew this job was some BS. Starting with the offer letter with a Start Date of TBD. I thought it was for background checks, and to coordinate travel to the company for On Boarding. The job was Work From Home. I resigned from my job. it took them two months to actually bring me on! Now, to the BS. I thought everything was going good. My "manager" pinged me every single morning to say good morning. Talk forever to you on the phone about personal subjects- thought we were cool, huh?? The BS- they used SKYPE which is the worse! Why? When hooked up to the computer, people can just spawn up a conference call, put you in it, and you get no confirmation, from the computer. Then, SKYPE dials into your computer, without you giving permission. Next thing you know, someone is talking to you, through your computer. You don't know who, for what, how long they have been listening. No indication, no sound, nothing. I didn't like that. I work from Home. Who knows what I could be doing or saying at any moment in time, and someone is just connected to my computer, without my knowledge?? I disconnected that, and just manually called in. 7 days ago, they were talking about bringing me on PERM. then yesterday just fired me out the blue. Couldn't even stay solid on the reason. Oh, we couldn't reach you on SKYPE. You're not available 24/7. Cause they like to spawn up a conference call, at a moments notice.?? No invite, just whenever they feel like it. If you stepped away for a second, you're in the wrong?? I honestly think the Manager I thought was so cool, was some BS. He tried to be so personal and nice. yeah right. I think they hired someone else while I was waiting for 2 months to be brought on. His weird ass didn't like me, for who knows whatever reason. And now I'm fired right before Christmas.

medical billing

Hi All I am looking for a medical billing job than I can do from home. I need it to supplement my income. I got divorce in 2015 and had to start my life all over with a daughter in college. I have my medical billing certification and is in school for medical coding. But due to my 18 plus years in accounts payable auditing. I am not getting any offers for medical billing, so I am in the process of revising my resume, taking out my experience in accounting. Do you think it's a good idea to do so? Can anyone advise me, where I can find a job remotely? or which direction I should go?
