unemployeed and depressed
I've been working for this company for 11 mos. barely missed any days. did my job and then some. worked overtime almost every week they had it. so me and my husband had to recommute. so we put in our 2 week notice. my husband got a job he couldn't pass up. told our boss. well I went to finish out my two weeks. i forgot to mention i also put in my vacation days that I didn't use. they. accepted 1 then there was 2 more. well the more i kept asking my boss to please approve them he had no reason not to i did everything by the book. so they call me Monday night and said you can't come in to work tonight. because we need you to take a drug test.i said ok i can go do that right now.well no they're closed right now.so i went and did it first thing in the morning and passed with flying colors. well the lady that told me this said she would get a hold of me when she got the test back no call so i called them. i said i passed my drug test can i come back to work and proceeded to ask about my vacation days. she then responded no we no longer need you. so now I'm out of a job,, and need help to pay my bills. any helpful comments on what or if i can do anything about this would be appreciated thanks

Never give up
I just recently moved out a bad town to start fresh. I have a wife and three beautiful daughters. I have been working on temp jobs for about three months but soon as it's time to get hired on with them the background check come and I fail. I admit I made bad decisions and regret them but I've learned that family always have my back whether I have a million dollars or two cents I know my father will lead me to something great so I'm thanking my beautiful queen and three princesses for sticking by there King

Moving back home
After around 30 years, I have decided by the end of the year to move back home to the United States from Greece where I have been residing. I have a lot of experience in customer service and sales. I hear job employment is relatively good in the US, is that so?

Getting a job out of state
Hi everyone, I’m 21 & moving out of state for the first time. I leave in June & im not sure when is the best time to start applying for jobs. I’m very eager to start applying now but I’m not sure if it’s too early or not. Tell me what you think! Especially if you own a business yourself!

Frustrated
So I was living in Atlanta before it was so hard getting a job so I moved to New Jersey held two jobs have experience and all now I moved back to Atlanta because of my brother and sister now it’s hard to get a job been here almost 2 weeks had interview on Monday and nothing as yet I’m stressed out

Interview - Wait time
What is the average wait time for one to land a job they desire? I had resigned from my previous role in December 2018 due to my father's illness which was followed by his demise. I had to leave to my home country for 3 months to recuperate and settle a few things for my mother. I was back on March 19 and started looking around mid of the month. Have given few interviews but nothing clicked so far. I was just curious to know how it works for other applicants.

One time I felt unfairness at the work place was...
When I worked at the same company as my husband (now ex-husband). We had moved to another town because he had gotten promoted to store manager and they transferred me to the same store. Since we were married and he was the boss then we had decided that if I had any questions or needed help with something that I would go to the Assistant Manager and she would take care of it. That wasn’t a problem at all, it worked out great. Move along a few years and the corporate guys came for a visit. They wanted to talk to me, which was kinda unusual. I went in the office and sat down and they start telling me about a different store that has a husband and wife that work together and one is the manager. Long story short, they ended up being crooked and stealing stuff so they had decided that from now on that the manager of a store couldn’t have their immediate family work under them. I explained that I had always gone to the Assistant Manager for all my questions and or problems I had. They then proceeded to tell me since this was the only other store where spouses worked under the other that they were going to let me go. They would pay me my 2 weeks vacation and my personal and sick days and they wouldn’t fight my unemployment if I filed, which of course I did. I got to thinking that there should be a grandfather clause, and I should be under that clause because this new rule started 5 years after I started working there. So now that my husband and I are divorced and I have found out other things about him and things he’s done to deliberately try to get me into trouble. Was it really corporates idea to let me go or had my husband beydoing something to make me look bad and I just didn’t know it? He got fired from that same company just 8 months after they let me go and he told me a different story than I heard from another manager at the first store we worked at together. I’m not really sure what really happened with me being let go, but I feel if the story they told me was true then I should have been protected underneath the grandfather clause. Don’t you?
