Does anyone know what HR reference questions can be asked when a company calls a past employer? I am making it all the way to the final interview and then getting a denial letter! I honestly feel like the company that laid me off is sabotaging me! The company was one of the worst companies I have ever heard of and should of known not to leave my job of almost 7 years for a company that has the worst reviews I have ever seen!

I was wrongfully terminated however I fought so I settled to take Discontinue retirement. They will not change my reference then I would not qualify for the Discontinue retirement. I am an excellent employee, I know that but this reference is painting a bad picture. I have not been terminated before and now have this in my employment history. I need a job.

I wish I can find the time later to ask for favors. I hope you get this praise without be hurt, be harmed, and not in a dangerous situation. God bless us all.

I’ve been out of a job for awhile and the last one i had closed down, so no references from them. And the year before that i was working on my MA, so I wasn't working. That means there is nothing for my resume...what a disaster!! I just moved to a new state and they require me to have a license to work as a MA. I have student loans to pay - I can’t afford that!!!
