Walking on sunshine!

You ever have the type of day where you just knock it out of the park? Well I just got home from one of those days. Everything came together and I was just solving problems and knocking down obstacles left and right. My boss even came by to tell me what a great job she thought I was doing. I felt so proud of myself! This is perfect timing, too. I've been so down lately and desperately needed to feel like I matter to somebody. Being recognized at work has really put some pep in my step. If you guys have similar stories I'd love to hear about them. Let's all share in our success!

What I loved working at #George'sHighlanderBarandGrill

I loved that everyone would complement me. They would tell me how much they appreciated me. And tell me that I would go far with how hard I worked. I loved the level of respect that everyone had for me.

Underpaid and understaffed

When i started at golden pantry i was tyold they were hiring new people in to help man the deli. I worked there from February to July and they hired people who did not really want to work and still got paid more then I did and then quit. I did the managers job ordering and everything for only 8.50 an hour. I was working 70+ hours a week working 14 to 16 hours a day leaving no time for my kids. As a single mother of two it was not worth my time to miss out on my kids life for what little pay they offered. The pair I worked with were good people just not enough of them. I was opening and closing the deli most day by myself. I do not belive that was fair if them to ask of me with no incentive.

Unappreciated.

I have been working at the same automotive manufacturer for the last 5 years (including subsidiaries). But even though I work about 50 hours a week, I am still classified as TEMP. Despite working the same position for the last year and a half, I am only getting half the pay and NONE of the benefits of my co-workers.

Why are there so many toxic work environments?

I just started a new job I was excited about because it's in a different industry than what I'm used to, so I'm getting the opportunity to acquire a new skill set. I'm suddenly realizing that I'm in a toxic environment. I carry myself in a professional manner and it seems to be putting people off. So far there has been a speech to the training class by one of the so called "top producers" at the company that no one is better than anyone we are all on the same page. This came out of left field, because who is thinking they are better. Also, I have two guys that sit behind me taunting me every time the management steps out of the room, such as making fun of my name and whispering other offensive things and giggling about it. Mind you one of these guys wears low hanging jeans to work, the ones where you can see the underwear and both thinks it's appropriate to speak street slang in a "professional" work environment. I'm feeling super bummed and I understand the job is a low pay and entry level, but the skill set I will acquire will eventually allow me to go on to another company and make decent money. Basically, it's an industry where you can't get hired in unless you have experience and this company offers the training/experience ( at low pay than usual) and prefers people with no experience which is not common. Unfortunately, I can't express any concerns to the current management and trainer, because they too look at me as if I think I'm better due to my professional demeanor ( I speak well and dress very professional). After seeing the behavior of some of the employees I'm really shocked I got hired. I'm so bummed right now, because so far they are the only ones willing to work with my school schedule.

Is this discrimination

You have worked fr a company for 5 years New leadership is hired from President down. They say we are a team player. They give all the emt, paramedic raises, bonus for each cert you hold,,insinative bonus at end of year. Then each new hire gets a $1,000 sign on bonus. Then look at you and say well we cant give you other drivers a bonus or raise sorry just not in budget and the other job we have you doing for a year now we cant give you that raise so you do 2 jobs work your butt off ..and they wont give you your yearly or any other raise what you think

I was angry at a customer/co-worker at #Charterwire when...

I never really delt with customers and my co-workers I really got along with all of them I really only found my self upset with the job is if the lead men of our team would try to stop me from growing and how I dealt with it is just try to learn on my own with no help from them.but they always would catch me and say slow down young one and get back to your job and I also thought that they were worried about me passing them up and also me making more money then them because of all the overtime I worked so they made shure to put a stop to that, so I put in a two week notice and found another job no hard feelings just moved on.

"Find yourself in difficult time"

Once I thought I'm nothing without praise and recognition. Boy was I wrong. My Journey does not stop because,I'm trying figure out my next step. We are constantly learning. We are our obstacle. Until we learn to stop judging oneself, how do we expect anyone else not too. If your facing these issues, please share. Blessings

The hardest part of working as a #CUSTOMERSERVICE at #UHAUL

Communication within the company and feeling like I am not appreciated.
