I have all the qualifications this hospital wanted for a Phelbotomist. Sent off their computer resume. Got back an automated reply that they were taking it," in a different direction." On their application they wanted to know my graduation date. Which one? High school? Is this an under cover ploy to find out my age? Yep I am 61 years old. Don't look it.. Don't act it.. Most people I meet think I am in my mid 40s and this is from women.

How can I get hired as a new Phlebotomy tech, if I can't get the experience. I have gone on a few interviews & then an email "thank you for apolying,but". It's so fraustrating. How van I get the experience if I can't get hired?

Most employers need phlebotomist to be certified and have experience with adult and pediatrics. If you are looking to start working in this field with training you receive from your program, try applying to the primary care department.
