I have a phlebotomy certificate (and a Medical Assisting Certificate and a EKG Tech certificate) that I earned in a New York school. As far as I can tell, the certificates don't specifically say that they are only good for Medical Assisting or Phlebotomy or EKG jobs in New York. However I think that such certificates are not always acceptable in other states than where you passed the test for them. If I have a phlebotomy certificate I earned in NY, can I apply for work in NJ? How about Baltimore or other neighboring states? There doesn't seem to be opportunities to work as a phlebotomist nearby. I would be willing to commute to neighboring New Jersey or even a bit further at last at first so as to get experience (and that is another question I have to post about), but am I wasting time applying for phlebotomist jobs anywhere other than New York?

Clinical and drug testing Phlebotomy

Moved to the Denton Area!! Looking for a school to take classes to upgrade to my skills!! Im 50 and took courses for Legal Assistance, Certified Medical Assistance and a class for phlebotomy!! Would like to upgrade my skills for the new technology that is being used now!! Any Advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!!
