Have been fired for bringing forth discrepancies in compounding sterile products for home infusion patients. Being a veteran and this pharmacy serves veterans I felt it was my moral as well as legal responsibility to speak out, as a licensed CPhT it is a legal dilemma, as I can occupy the cell with a pharmacist for injuring or harming a patient. How do I alert the state about this and is there any legal recourse I can choose? Have read a whistle blower chapter on Labor Dept. website and this company takes large dollar amounts from CMS (Medicaid and Medicare) I was trained at John Hopkins and these compromises in protocol are even more scary with the past episodes of BAD compounding at NECC in 2012 resulting in death and injuries from spinal meningitis, these veterans have given the greatest sacrifices and deserve our very best practices available. Any information would be appreciated.

I am a sophomore in college who is majoring in chemistry, and I am interested in working at a pharmacy where I can apply or work as a pharmacy technician. I have made auspicious accomplishments, such as being a recipient of the STEM Program and being the valedictorian in high school. I would like to IMMEDIATELY work as a pharmacy technican and would like to be trained for the position. The reason for this request is that I am in desperate need to cumulate substantial work experience before I transfer to a pharmacy institution. Please share some ideas. I have worked for a retail chain for 5 years and have been doing everything asked of me to get promoted into the pharmacy as a technician since I am a licensed pharmacy technician. I have done classes modules on the company website and on the job training but when interviewed I am told I need more experience! How am i to get more experience if Management doesn't help me out?? I even have a letter from a field trainer that I am qualified to be promoted to a technician!! Ugh this is frustrating!!
