I am totally at a lost. I finished a contract assignment the end of May. Since then I have been fortunate enough to have been on many interviews, both phone and in person, but no job offer. I'm 58 years old but that can be determined by my resume. The only comments I have received are 1). I'm not a cultural fit and 2). That I didn't properly call out my experience (I corrected that). What the H..LL is cultural fit? The interviews seem to go well. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong?! I'm really desperate at this point. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm a contract analyst/certified paralegal. HELP!

I am fortunate enough to be getting the interviews but no offers. I have over 20years experience and I for I wasn't a cultural fit. WTF! To me that is prejudice! How do I get around this? I'm not ready to be put out to pasture. Any ideas?

When a legal need arises and spending the money to hire a high priced attorney isn't an option, hiring a paralegal is the answer to your immediate legal problem. People often don't realize that they can have the same/better result with a Paralegal as they would have using an attorney. With the exception of legal issues that involve a crime, many legal situations don't require an attorney. My suggestion to someone that isn't sure if they can use a paralegal is to research the answer for themselves and see if they can rely on the expertise of the paralegal. Most often when a paralegal is used instead of an attorney it is one third less of the cost! Here are a few of the legal issues that a Paralegal can be hired to do: Contracts Rental agreements Lease agreements Loan agreements Default on payment agreement with a creditor Modification of child visitation agreement with non-custodial parent Request for reimbursement of medical, daycare, and court ordered expenses Request for child support modification Business contracts Personal contracts for loans

I received resume advice in the past that said you should only list the most recent job experience on your resume. I have been a paralegal for 13 years with the majority of my experience in real estate and real estate litigation. Prior to becoming a paralegal, I had experience in both the medical and in market research fields and need to know what is the best way to incorporate this work experience in my resume so that I can apply to jobs outside of the real estate and real estate litigation?
