I just moved to the country , I have 10+ years of experience in fields of auditing, finance & administration.
I have my bachelor degrees in business and have completed my MBA Course. As everyone know in order to get a job in the US one must also have employment history, unfortunately in my case as I just moved here this does not apply.
I look forward to hearing from people interested in the skill set that I have.

What should I know before I interview for a Front Desk Assistant job?

I desire a career change to be a Data Analyst. I realized mid-career that what I enjoy the most is chasing after the answer hidden in datasets.
I started as an Engineer, and rose to an Engineering Database Administrator at The AMES Companies. I am excellent at juggling multiple tasks and priorities. My co-workers and bosses confided in me and trusted me to deliver results no matter the task. I absorb everything thrown at me, and I myself am always surprised at how quickly I can learn and adapt.

I have been a stay at home mother for the past 5 years. My children have both started school so I am trying to get back out into the work place. I have noticed most employers have push my application to the side due to the 5 year work gap. I have 4 years of medical records/administrative assistant/file clerk experience.

I think people quit good jobs because
I worked there for 9 years, did my job and sometimes went out of my way to help residents. I felt they didn’t appreciate me. Sometimes I’d stay later just to get things done. I do have back problems and I’m not the fastest person but I did my job. I waited 5 years so I could get my 3 week vacation so I could take 2 of those and go home to see family in Ohio and daughter in Michigan. Then they get a new administrator and they wouldn’t let me take 2 of my 3 week vacation so I could go home to see my brother one last time as he was dying of cancer, so I gave them my notice and went anyway. Glad I did cos it was the last time I got to see him alive. Then I went back for his funeral. They wouldn’t let me take time off when my step dad , who raised me died. They show too much favoritism to the wrong people and not enough to the right ones. Too many people get away with things.they always helped each other but didn’t help me and wondered why I wouldn’t help them. I didn’t have time to do everyone else’s job while they did nothing
