Looking for the right job for employment
Looking for a job or place that will help me get my CNA certificate for employment. That's what I enjoyed doing when one of my family members passed away. I'm in Michigan so hope that helps.

Director of Marketing and Admissions
Trying to rejoin the work force after a 2 year break. Willing to branch out from skilled nursing into other industries. Have applied to numerous positions and not been offered a position. I have 19 years of very successful experience and at one time was the go to person for advice, hard to place patients, pay source issues. I don't know what to do about this situation. I don't understand why I am having such a hard time. Work used to come to me without me searching. Now I feel like I have the plague and no one will come near me. Any suggestions? Any opportunities that I have not seen? Donna

A Little Discouraged
After 13 years of working in the Child Care Field, I felt that the center I was in was not a following state (NY) requirements and allowing us to move forward with proper training and educational learning. I decided to change careers. Then again, after another 13 years, due to knee and back issues, I was forced to give up my real true calling of being a Professional Dog Groomer. I was a Mentor, Manager, Associate and Top Services Producer for 8 of those years. I have put in application after application over the past 3 weeks, as well as, resume after resume. It seems like no company only sees the what I have done by title only and doesn't see what each job entails. Before each of the two jobs above, I was a School Bus Drive, Van Driver for the Disabled, I did Data Entry, Typing (@80wpm), Excellent Customer Service, Phone Skills, Secretarial Skills, Computer Skills. I have sung my heart out, loved the sick, fixed the booboos, dealt with parents, been covered in glitter. I think if potential employers are looking for people to hire, they need to look past their present job and ask the person looking for the job, what other skills they have that may not be listed. Potential employers: I did not not play with children and puppies for 26 years. I was a teacher, I was a sales associate, secretary, "nurse", a "vet", I was customer service.

Unhireable
Last year after working for the same employer for 13 years I was bullied into resigning because I was being targeted by an assistant manager who made things up that I supposedly had done wrong. Even though I had witnesses that said these things never happened the manager chose to believe her. I have recently been job seeking and got a job offer which I happily accepted. Went for my physical got all my perjuring done and yesterday received a phone call from Human Resources saying because of some troubling things that came up about my time at my last job that they were withdrawing the offer. I’m a RN with 28 years experience and unfortunately most of the hospitals in the area are owned by the same system. They made it sound like I had given them false information which totally wasn’t true. What should I say when I go to an interview? They didn’t ask why I left, should I tell them? I assumed since it was the same system they would have access to my records. I am at a loss for what to do.
