Registered Nurse

As a nurse it's kindof hard trying to go to a clinical area of interest when most of your past work history is Med-Surgical....at least in my experience.

How do people find coping skills to overcome anxiety?

I want to one day become a nurse! Cartaking has been one of my biggest and best assets I have cared for my disabled baby brother with cerable palsy and blind for the first 11 out of 18 years he lived! And then I met my husband whom had become ill with renal failure and had to be on dialysis 3 x a week every week.. at that time I was attending full time community college got my first deans honor roll in my life and was enjoying my criminal. Justice courses I took all of for a certificate.. ! But my anxiety just progressed worse and worse and now I feel like I’m sometimes so anxious I have panic attacks.. I want so badly to return for my education.. and I want to work with people where I can share my compassionate nurturing skills I have ! My question is just for any advice that anyone might have to help me find ways to help overcome my anxiety?

The freinus web site will not let me sign in so i cannot fill out an application.

I have been a RN case manager for 12 years and I had to draw the level and send to the doctor after dialysis sometime. Then some of the patients would be really sick after dialysis I had to follow them after dialysis.

As a Nurse in charge, what level of care would you Always give and expect of each staff member on your team.?

First of all their is Only one level of care, and that is Always EXCELLENT.! My expectation of the person in charge is to set the example of excellence, give that Excellent care, and expect nothing less from the other team members.! The level of care given on the unit starts at the expectation of the person in charge, and shown to the team by that same person exactly what the only level of care is on our floor, and hopefully it becomes seriously infectious in the entire hospital.!
