Ive been working at my job 2 years. I was doing good i thought & they fired me after i went to jail for a misdemeanor charge. I was locked up for a week but i had my girl call & let them know. Nonetheless they found someone else to do my job, i was very loyal to that job. I just feel so screwed over because i did everything for them people. Now i might lose my family because im probation & have no money to pay. I just feel like i did so much for this job & they could care less. Im filing for unemployment while i look for more work but im trying.

Ac technician
I'm looking for a position with an AC company I'm EPA certified universal and I'm great with educating home owners on their AC system to make them feel comfortable about their desions giving them comfort when they have to purchase a unit or a part for there existing system so they won't feel like they are being taken advantage of since unfortunately the mark up on heating and air conditioning is so high

Can i get in trouble for not following orders?
I love what I do that's why I do it best that's what the mantra that I follow every day when it comes to my job. Coming from a third world country, I could say I am very privileged to be in a country that has equal opportunity for everyone. I've been with my current company for a month and I'm so lucky to be hired by then. I am a maintenance technician for a management company we have several properties here in California in today my manager told me that I will be doing some cross training another properties.. my trainer told me today that will be doing two properties I have no problem with it gave me to work orders I completed it without issues. The problem started when he told me secretly that the next property will be going to it's an apartment complex 4 people with HIV disease. Suddenly my mood changed from happy too concerned and I told him honestly how I feel I also told him that why wasn't I informed in the first place and the reason for me being concerned is because I don't think I am properly trained to handle encounter with people with such disease. I have nothing against them. I have a problem with the fact that I will be doing maintenance in the apartments such as snaking drains unclogging toilets or whatever it is that they asked me to do that I feel that it's part of my job and Main reading main concern is what if you didn't tell me I will be going there without any issues whatsoever in the fact that in my job I always go home not knowing that I have scratched and bruises on my body and I don't even know where I got it from. When you told this to my boss Wendy told this to my boss my boss told me well did you do the training online about bloodborne pathogens and I said no and to be honest I told him I don't think that's enough information for me to be confident enough to face this challenge as a matter of fact I don't think you are qualified to tell me that it's okay because you are not in the medical field you are a maintenance technician like I am but you've been with the company for quite a while that you are my manager and I meant that with all due respect his reply was well it doesn't really get into your system if you get exposed with their bodily fluids or if you were able to wash it within the span of 30 minutes and if you do that all you'll get is hepatitis and we offer hepatitis shot. After hearing this I told him well even hepatitis I don't want and please don't talk about hepatitis like it's a regular cold. Was I out of line to say that to my boss? second question, can they force me to go to that property and put my job in Jeopardy if I don't? Please help any comments suggestions will be helpful cuz I am afraid that they look at me now not a team player. Thanks
