Career Services @ DeKalb International Student Center

We are developing our Partners In Education Program to introduce our unique student body to local businesses that offer high-demand career pathways within our school district. We have students ages 16-20 with varying degrees of skills and experiences that are valuable to many companies, Who would I speak with to craft summer internship opportunities and service-based learning activities specifically designed to position our students as work-based learners to help you meet the needs of your business?

College Student

I'm currently a college student going into my last semester this fall at Hinds Community College and I major in Computer Servicing Technology. Therefore, I was wondering if there are any internships , jobs or technical training I could get into to sharpen my skills from what I've learned throughout the course of my semesters and years of school. I've been taught hands on in my classes on how to work on desktops and laptops in my Basic Computer Systems class, and Lab 1&2 classes. I been also taught in Diagnostic & Troubleshooting class dealing with PC's. I'm 25 years old and currently looking for work or anything I can learn in the field of technology. Outside of technology I'm looking for warehouse jobs anything that keeps me moving and active I'm open to all opportunities though.

Supply Chain Management student

I am a Management student but without any work experience. Now I am stuck in a vicious cycle as all internship positions require work exp and I won't get a work exp without an internship. I am looking for project management, supply chain and operations management internships. What should I do?

Internships count as Work Experience. Highlight some of your key accomplishments during that time, just like you would with any other full-time job.
