Waiting patiently

So, I worked at a company and due to health problems that came up, I was no longer able to do the job that I was currently in. I was told to go through our 3rd party company and request an accommodation which is a transition into another job that would accommodate my health problems. I was granted intermittent leave and it was explained to me that I could miss 2 days per month and not get a point, we are allowed 4 in 6 months and terminated on the 5th. In July when I returned from vacation, I had 4 point that were not there when I left. Some were back from as far as May. I questioned HR and they said it didn’t fall within the guidelines of my leave. I just left it alone. Then I miss 2 days in July and 2 days in August and I got fired for pointing out. I called the 3rd party and they said the only way to get the points removed would be to have my doctor update the form because the way it was worded, the 2 days had to be back to back and not spaced out through the month. So I did this and am now waiting to see if I get my job back or not. I am just very frustrated because if HR had done their job and told me 2 days consecutive not just 2 days that I would have a job right now.

Needing to vent!

Needing to vent! I have been with this Large medical company for 6 years. I had previously worked for the same company (a sister hospital under their umbrella) for 12 years before moving out of state. So to begin This company award their employees years of service with a pin (gold pin with a sapphire).I have 2 pins already one with a sapphire (5 years) and another with a ruby (10 years) of service. That's great it shows recognition right! Well in Oct 2018 I celebrated my 5th year. They had an awards banquet but I was not able to attend.I also transferred departments so with that I emailed the HR person in charge of getting the award to the employees. In Dec 2018 I emailed her and let her know I transferred dept and if she would be so kind to interoffice my pin to the new department. No reply from her . I emailed her again in Jan 2019, Feb and March still no reply from her. I addressed this with my now supervisor who told me to call her instead of emailing. I called said HR person and inquired if she received my emails. She stated she had and that she has other things she is working on like baseball tickets for the company outing and that it was on her list of things to do. I was taken back a little because she was not kind in anyway through the conversation. In June I approached the regional manager and asked if he may be able to help me get the pin. He told me he was going to that building and would pick it up for me and bring it to me.. Yah I'm getting somewhere, so I thought. He also commented on knowing how difficult this person can be(making excuses for her) He never followed through with what he said. So now it's Aug almost Sept I sent another email to HR person asking what the status is and when I could expect my pin. (I can care less now about the pin its all in the way this matter has been handled) I once again approached my supervisor when I got no response from HR. My supervisor sent an email and guess what no response again not even to her. It saddens me that a person can be this rude and disrespectful to someone who has been a dedicated employee through thick and thin. Im just needing to vent. There is no one above her so Im told. I looked through the directory myself and found no one. So pretty much the bucks stops with her. I feel like I have already made waves involving so many people. They can keep their pin and well who knows maybe someday I will find a company who respects their employees. Until then I know Im a good employee and will continue to be so regardless. Thanks for the rant!

What I see as the most talked about topic needing help and the opportunity

People are done with resumes, applying, long waits post interview, and HR needs to be dealt with by a lead source. This makes me feel like trying to help all people by taking out the application proccess and if it can be done then their is a demand for a placement person that works to help these people.

So fustrated

I don't get the HR/hiring process? Do they just string you along for the purpose of company quotas? Do they have to interview a specific number of candidates? There should be some State ethics law that allows for a certain time frame an interview process should take and all candidates receive communication of what is going on.

I GIVE UP!

I know, buy the title, you already know what I am going to vent about. I have been looking for a job for the past 1 year with no offer in sight. I have had interviews upon interviews. One of the interviews lasted 6 months with my going to the final stage. only for me to be turned down. The most recent I went on i got through all 4 stages ( when it was only suppose to be 3). I specifically request the hr person call me regardless of the outcome. She agreed with me and told me that she appreciated my time and would definitely call me, even if the outcome was not in my favor. 1 week rolls by, no call. i call her , no answer.I email her. NO response. So I went ahead and emailed the hiring manager. after 2 weeks of chasing this woman. LO and behold the hr lady send me an email saying they will not be pursuing my candidacy and they will keep my resume on file. I was so insulted and I quickly deleted the email. Why do employers do this? They Interview for so long only to waste your time and turn you down. Don't they realize how emotionally, and psychologically tasking interviewing is. I wish they would remember how they got in their sears and have empathy on us serious job seekers. Any thoughts and comments would be much appreciated!

Bullying in Healthcare

I was terminated after 17 1/2 years of working for a hospital that I considered my Alma mater. Unknowingly to me I was working with women who were jealous of my skills to do my job. Because I wouldn't cave to their bullying. They got together to create lies about me that they went to the manager and HR. I was never given the chance to grieve the lies that were told on me before being terminated. I was devastated and broken by a system that I thought was fair and just. How could these women get away with the lies told to ruin my life? What ever happened to the investigation to get to the truth? I no longer have faith in Management nor do I have faith in Human Resources. I actually found out that Human Resources are there to protect Management. The employee has no protection.
I was bullied by co-workers, management and Human Resources.

Would never work there ever

I thought my interview went well, the. HR lady made a excuse and left the room, the hiring manager then proceeded to ask me inappropriate questions such as when I was gonna to retire! I am 52 and have 15 years yet. Followed by more age based questions. HR lady came back and he shut right up, like it was planned. After the interview there was a “test” where you put a spring in a hole and put a couple pieces in he demonstrated it. There was no hole. I felt with tweezers and no hole he didn’t allow me a flashlight to see what I was doing and I told him I was diabetic and was shaking because I needed to get my blood sugar higher so the shaking stops. He ignored and with no hole and shaking and never done it before of course I failed. They lied to me and Treated me without respect for my condition. Glad I didn’t get hired.

Stressed out!

I been applying and applying to many job boards now, linkedin, indeed, glassdoor, my school career page. All I get in return is "this employer looked at your application" or "sorry we decided to pursuade other people". I majored in Management-Human Resources and I been applying to jobs refelating to that. Some recruiters have called and and said they will help but I am still unable to get a job. Im just lost at this point. How many places do you have to apply to, to even get a responce back from one place :[
