I always dreamed of having a good life. I am tired of low paying jobs and losing. Or going homeless. I trust God that he will light my way.

Losing Faith

My rent is overdue. My brother/employer just passed away. He sold my car a week before. I’m being evicted for the first time in my 55 years on this earth. I don’t have a lifeline. I moved here 6 years ago and I am having to eat crow and go back where I know the area. So much for an adventure being single. God Bless!! Say a prayer for me. Thanks

I think a GREAT work culture is one that

One of the finest companies I have worked for and still work for. If you want a work place with diversity and team work Hilton is the company to work for without a doubt.
Due to a purchase of a new house Inam looking for extra late afternoon/evening work for about 4 to 5 hours a nite. Any extra always helps

Why are housing costs so high?

I live in southeastern West Va. I have found countless jobs but they are far away from me but in good places where there's recreation etc. However, I can not afford the high rent of living. I don't think any job here pays a person that much to live on. If I have to travel back and forth, it's more money out of my pocket but not as much as rent but it is tiring and wear and tear on my car. Why does the cost of rent have to be so high?

Homeless

I'm 62 yrs young. Lots of bad luck. Staying with daughter and her 2 mean kids. They hate me for things I did in my 30s. No forgiveness here. Ever. Finally found a job. Desperately need a place to live. Me and my 12 yr old rescue schitzu. I can only shower once a week. Maybe wash clothes once a week. I pd lge, cable, garbage, water. Not allowed to eat their food. Trying so hard to find a place. No family, friends. Nobody loves me. I'm a good woman. Great sense of humour. Love to cook (southern food, homemade) keep a clean house. Grew up on a farm with my grandpa. Horses, cows, ckickens loved every minute of it. My grandma taught me to make homrmade biscuits, spaghatti, cream puffs that melt in your mouth. Fresh eggs, best fried chicken in the world. Good ole grille cookin. Mmm.

Ridiculous out there!

I live in Birmingham, AL and read that it was the 5th or 6th most difficult city in the country to get a job. I can tell you that it is true. I have years of experience working with very reputable companies. I have been on countless interviews and a lot of seconds. Two months later, the same positions are out there and they say need immediate assistance but haven’t hired anyone yet. I am educated and have even said I would take a lateral or lower position. My house and car are now in jeopardy. I do a good job and have never been fired but have been downsized at a job before after 10 years of blood and sweat. I was harassed at the next because I knew too much and had 2 quit. The boss at that one was fired 2 months later after my allegations were ignored but someone else came forward. I did not get involved. I have no option but to leave my home and family to survive. I have come to know that the article was true which leaves me in despair. Don’t come here for a job. Crime rate is high and I see too many good people going down. The south has not changed all that much except that they disguise the racial and social prejudice slightly more than the times of slavery. I know what needs to change but I am only one person with one opinion. Sounds like a revolution needs to happen to me!
