i got hired at a hotel job april 17th after being out of work since March 1st, first i never had an interview was text to come and try out, i did and got hired, get paid every week never filed out any paperwork for taxes, i clock in and out, and the thing i hate the most they do not make a work schuele for the week they text you to tell you if you work and they do it late so we are sitting around to see if we work, it is not a temp agency job but even at a temp agency they tell you if you are working the next day or days. So my first check was $257 for three days and last week only work three days. I like the job cause they do not check on you or the apartment/suites, you have to text to the office or boss what apartment you finished easy, but i can take the hours i need more hours and i need a set schedule each week cause like i told them i am not going to sit around waiting for a text. So i get on line on my days off and apply for other jobs. I'll keep this job until something comes along. P.s i don't think they are taking taxes out.

Really, really disgusting and a hazard to one's health.
I started working for a motel in my hometown as the lead Housekeeper). A few days in I noticed that alot of the restrooms in rooms that were being rented had signs of mold. On the ceiling of the shower of course which can be expected of the bathroom isn't properly ventilated. But the day I walked into a room that had been occupied by a couple with an infant, that had been renting that room even before i started working there was the day that I've seen it all. It reeked of urine,mold,and nice droppings. I saw 3 dead mice stuck to a trap, droppings everywhere, and black mold in the adjoining wall from the bedroom to the bathroom. Mold from the ceiling to the floor. The whole inside of the bathroom was 10 times worse. All surfaces were covered In mold.I refused to go back into that room with the proper safety gear and advised the housekeepers to do the sane. The real kicker was when the GM ordered the maintenance man to just paint over it. Wow,!! Needless to say I only worked there for 2 months until I just had to go.
