I was on the food production line and we had a lull in business, so I stepped over to talk to a coworker by the fryer to pass time. My boss, Denise, was talking to one of the supervisors. I was born deaf in one ear so I can read lips, I looked over and caught my boss saying "why does she always have to be talking?" She expected us to be robots and check our personalities at the door. I had transferred to this Sheetz from a different store that was GREAT to work at. This new store was run like a sweat shop and Denise was the tyrant who ran it. I'm soooo happy to be gone from there, you should always be allowed to be happy and smile at work, otherwise it's miserable.
