I'm a diesel fleet mechanic and I'm also a felon it is extremely hard for me to get hired. It's always a go until the background check comes into play. Can anyone help me with this? I just want a job and to be given a chance a fair chance I'm trying to turn my life around and can't do it with company's that want to background check

Well, I was hired today and I feel I'm going to fail the background check as it's the same company being used from my last hire, then a letter stating I failed the background check. I'm a recovering addict of 13+ years and of course I have some felony convictions while in active addiction. I'm a law abiding productive member of society, home owner and 13 payments til my care is paid off with a good credit score and I can't seem to sell myself to any employer. My hope is that this isn't a life sentence. I resigned from a company I worked for for 10+ years, it's a substantial abuse facility so background checks are accept to a certain degree. I'm keeping the Faith and trusting in God.
